Numerical analysis of injection parameters influence on diesel engine performances and emissions correlated by maximum in-cylinder pressure

The present work deals with a numerical investigation on an experimental single cylinder direct injection Diesel engine. Calculations are carried out Kiva3v2 code using multidimensional detailed chemistry. study was predicted CO, and NOx emission levels by the engine before exhaust valve opening. Correlations proposed for NO, function of fuel, O2, N2 concentrations maximum in-cylinder pressure rather than temperature. Predicted values averaged pressures, CO2 in manifold were validated measured ones set five loads at 1500 rpm. obtained calculations lies perfectly values. Otherwise, simulations lead us to analyze timing, duration fuel amount injected effect performances, ignition delay, combustion as well CO levels.
